Tis the holiday season and it appears as if crime is becoming more prevalent. Within the last 24 hours, the Family Dollar in Philadelphia was robbed.
A scare for shoppers as three masked men barged into a store and held the place up at gunpoint.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Family Dollar on the 5800 block of Torresdale Avenue, in the Wissinoming section.
Police said the thieves took cell phones from the customers and employees before robbing the store and making off with approximately $1200 dollars in cash.
No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.
