NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) —

Police are looking for the gunman who shot at a car while the driver was going down Castor Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on the 6600 block of Castor Avenue.

According to police, the suspect shot into the car at a close proximity.

The driver was hit three times in the arm and the car was shot six times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the area.

Police say the male suspect got into a burgundy colored-vehicle, possibly a jeep and fled the scene.

The city of Philadelphia seems to continue on its downward spiral of a consistent high crime rate. Don’t let yourself be a victim. Take action before something happens, Defend Your Own.
