Police: Man wakes up to find masked gunmen in bedroom

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) —

Philadelphia police are searching for three suspects who broke into a Hunting Park home and at least one assaulted a resident with a gun.

The incident took place around 3:00 a.m. Sunday on the 4300 block of North 8th Street.

Police say a 56-year-old man awoke to find three masked males in his bedroom Two of them were pointing guns at him.

One of the males had his hand over the victim’s mouth.

Police say they asked the man for money.

According to authorities the victim, worrying about his daughter who was sleeping upstairs, told the suspects where to find the cash.

After stealing the money, they continued to search the apartment for more.

They allegedly told the victim if they didn’t find any more money they were going to kill him.

After going through the victim’s drawers and cabinets, the suspects left.

The victim suffered a cut to his forehead and scratch to the left side of his face.
